Individualism
Fuck. why?
“Strong links make long chains”

Granted, I am definitely not the one to credit for this, but I am claiming it anyway.
Maybe the ancient Cynics have had too strong of influence on me, but I have developedstrong affinity for the individual, a self-driven maturation process, and a subsequent rejection of society’s chains on sovereignty.
I dismiss most concerns on the overlap of individuality and grandiose vanity - the former is the noble duty of man, the latter is slavery to one’s ego.
At odds here too are advances of collective humanity versus advances in individual humans. The first preaches equity only to deliver inequality. The second is innately inequal but bridges it if it’s demands for autonomy and certain error are embraced.
To venture into one’s Self toward it’s holistic development requires bravery of the individual, and yet sacrifice of the collective. But to sacrifice the individual is to damn the collective.
